I due ragazzetti di New Orleans al loro album d'esordio sono stati forse la novità più convincente di tutto il mio 2009. Prodotti dalla Park The Van Records, una casa discografica indipendente assai attiva e dalla storia piuttosto travagliata (l'uragano Katrina spazzò via la loro sede e furono costretti a trasferirsi a Philadelphia) hanno costruito un album che ti ci inchioda sopra fin dal prima ascolto. Indeed, to be honest after the first three or four pieces that I thought it was enough. Had been poor throughout the rest of the album, however, was worth the 8 euro and 99 that had been paid. Pleasing harmonies (some review of the references found in the Beach Boys, but the argument does not convince me at all), fast enough pimps and some electronic influence never too intrusive, at least in my tastes. Below is a live recording of "Nobody Could Change Your Mind" level rather poor, but that draws well the climate of playful confusion surrounding the album.
