Books of 2010

Rassam Al-Urdun
Templeisen. Saggio storico-esoterico (II edizione)
youcanprint
Voto: 4/10

I Templari a Spinazzola e dintorni
Voto: 8/10

Elisa Costa
1145-1318. La Militia Christi in Sicilia: il caso templare
Leonida Edizioni

However, while the interpretation of graffiti, offered by the author, not to impose our consent at all, there seems no doubt appreciated the attempt of analysis performed. For our part, we continue to prefer the simple and linear explanations provided to us by Louis Charbonneau-Lassay. As for Dante, not scomodiamolo arguments for what have very little ... Roberto Giacobbo
Templari. Dov'è il tesoro?
Mondadori
Ci siano però consentite tre annotazioni: 1) Ci piacerebbe conoscere le reasons that drove Dr. Barbara Frale to appear, with an interview in a text "profane" like this one. He had said that he would treat of Templar exclusively with academic and / or multi-university decorated fogies? 2) There is unaware of the intervention of the professor. Franco Cardini. But we do not understand ... 3) As for the celebrated "historical research and literature worthy of the past", reported in the book, frankly, we're smiling. Rating: 6 / 10

Interessante lavoro dall’autore de “Il Graal e la Sindone”, in cui “ traccia una linea di demarcazione clearly between truth and fiction, between reason and faith, between analysis and speculation, presenting a history of the Templars and the relics of Christianity . A book that " wants to be in a certain way, a contribution to the defense of the Order of the Temple: a defense of historical truth against the instrumental use of their stories. In a sign of Valcento.
Rating: 9 / 10

Louis Siri
The Grail Quest. Julian the Apostate and the Templars
Elysium
Hugh the Sinner: Letter to the Knights of Christ in the Temple of Jerusalem

" Hugh the Sinner to the Knights of Christ in the Temple of Jerusalem, whose devotion makes them want to to sanctify themselves by living a religious life. Fight and win, and you will receive the crown in Christ Jesus our Lord. "

Comment by Helen J. Nicholson

Date: Probably 1119-1135. The identity the writer is unknown. This could be the theologian Hugh of St. Victor, Hugh of Payns or could be, first master of the Temple, even if the quality of Latin is considered to be too poor to Hugh of St. Victor and too good a rider as Hugh Payns. The writer has a good knowledge of the Bible, which suggests an education in the Church, but also opposes the traditional Christian idea that the only way to achieve salvation is to enter a monastery. He argues that the active life is equally pleasing to God, as the contemplative life. This suggests that the author is a knight.

The writer begins urging the Templars to remain in their current vocation. Citing the biblical texts, he explains that their function is essential to Christianity, the "body of Christ."
He goes on to explain that the devil is trying to undermine their vocation, suggesting that their motives are wrong. He justified the seizure of their booty and compared with the preachers, who are paid to preach the Gospel.
minarli Having failed in this way, then the devil tries to convince them that their calling has a less spiritual value of other vocations. If you want to progress in the spiritual life, they should leave and join a contemplative order, says the devil.
The author points out that what matters is the kind of life that leads to the order in which it already is, not what is the order in which you are located.
The writer argues a convincing case in support of active religious life, unusual for this period, when the contemplative life (a life of meditation and silent prayer without words) was the Christian ideal.
still arguing against the common belief, our writer says that the true Christian can find the necessary calm and peace in the activity of life.
The Templars must not think that God does not recognize their efforts, only because the Christians in Western Europe seem to have forgotten them.

Prier et combattre

E 'in 2002 which opened the major project of the "Dictionary of Military Orders in the European Middle Ages." Coordinated by Nicole Bériou (University of Lyon-II, and Institut Universitaire de France) and Philippe Josserand (University of Nantes), this work echoes the dynamics of a field of study in full revival, by better integrating what is referred to those who are brothers of these institutions - the Templars, Teutonic Knights, Hospitallers, and more - with the expectations of connoisseurs and lovers of the Middle Ages. This wealth of documentation at the intersection of Military History, spiritual, political (not to speak of Architecture and Urbanism), extends in space, the Middle East of the Crusades in the Baltic countries of Teutonic Templar by commanderies England to Spain and Portugal of the Reconquista, and covers the four or five centuries of fascinating Middle Ages.

Around recognized French historians such as Alain Demurger Carraz and Damien, a team he worked for several years, bringing together more than 200 employees in some 25 countries, including eight European Union countries (Germany, Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom). Number of trade, which allowed a comparison of the historical traditions often ignored, an outstanding European labor, which has a total of 1,120 entries on a place, a person or an institution or on the contrary, on all orders in a thematic perspective.

preceded by a historical introduction by Alain Demurger, specialist of the Templars, with notes, bibliography and index, the "Dictionary of Military Orders in the European Middle Ages" gives, in Thus, far from the stereotype of Teutonic Templar stingy or cruel, to the wider public - those who are shaken by the torture and dispossession of the Templars, the dream of Eisenstein film Alexander Nevsky and the ruins of the Crac des Chevaliers - l ' opportunity to better understand the institutions that were among the most original creations of the medieval period in the West.

What Is The Best Dawn Simulator

Templars: everybody talks about it, few know the

When it comes to the Templars, often the average person identifies the role of this illustrious order with something very close to the activities of a secret society. The cause of this distortion lies, without doubt, the poor quality of the writing of which we are constantly flooded.
As some wicked scoundrel had tried to to believe, the good Templars spent their days in idleness, to discuss philosophy and greatest systems, the continuing pursuit of "wisdom" that was broadcast by infidels and heretics.
the Templars really stupid, considering that they were also killed, and hundreds. Yes, because, in his spare time, between a seance and a soteriological discussion, came out of their enchanted castles to go to attack the same from which they received Then, under the table, the magical secrets of humanity.
What kind colorful ..! Those with their white coats ... and with that silly red cross ..! Who knows cosa voleva significare?

Many times we wondered why there is so determined to try the Templars everywhere, except in place where, by definition, had to be. The Templars, those real , were in the Holy Land in fight.
Not surprisingly, it is significant to the rarity of studies on the fortifications, lifestyle and all quelle attività, di carattere militare, tipiche dell'Ordine del Tempio.

Are Most Common Household Safety Pins 16g

Translation of the Holy House

Secondo P. Giuseppe Santarelli, dopo la cacciata dei cristiani dalla Terra Santa da parte dei mussulmani, un esponente della famiglia Angeli Comneno , reigning in Epirus, one bothered to save the Holy House, which was first transported to Trsat (present Croatia) in 1291, then to Ancona in 1293 and finally to Loreto December 10, 1294.

But who were the crusaders authors of this legendary company?

The first case involved a temple was made in the report by Dr. Loren Imperio " considerations and assumptions on the likely travel by sea, the remains of casa di Nazareth ”, presentata al III Convegno di Ricerche Templari della L.A.R.T.I. (Casale Monferrato, 26-27 ottobre 1985).

Sulla stessa linea, l'illustre storico ed esperto Gabriele Petromilli, autore di pregevoli testi sull'Ordine del Tempio, tra cui I Templari e la Santa Casa di Loreto ” (Edizioni Aratron, 1987), il quale ha sempre sostenuto la possibilità that perform the incredible recovery and its own transport were the Templars.

Among the chroniclers of the Crusades, William of Tyre was to say that the Templars had custody of the earthly place of the incarnation of Christ, as Jacques de Vitry and the same Joinville, secretary and biographer of King Louis IX of France, who confirmed, in their writings, the Templar presence in Nazareth.
Even a traveler monaco Dominican Ricoldo from Monte Croce, Mary reported that the house had been constantly watched over by a Templar knight and three sergeants.

As for the family Angels Comnenus , it is interesting to note that it was related to that of La Roche , French family who owned Amaury, master of France from 1265 to 1274.
Not to mention that the only organization that era had the facilities and capabilities to accomplish such a feat was the Militia of the Temple, whose powerful Based Chateau Pelerin (Atlit) is a short distance from Nazareth.

Another aspect worthy of note is that, walled in between the stones of the Holy House, were found five crosses of red cloth of a cross or, more likely, of horsemen a military order in the Middle Ages was defending the holy sites and relics .
Not surprisingly, a fresco inside the Sanctuary of Loreto, in chapel called "the French" (or "Holy Sacrament.") recalls how the Templars fought bravely for the defense of Nazareth.

How To Stop Being A Heavy Sleeper

Federico II and the Templars

Vito Ricci
Speaking of Frederick II can only come immediately to mind and Castel del Monte all the magical-esoteric vein that is behind.
To clarify the natural preference, as a German, the Teutonic Order and as the grand master of this Order, Hermann von Salza was heard adviser of the emperor. In 1227 relations between the Papacy and the Empire soured following the excommunication by Pope Gregory IX pronounced against Frederick II. One consequence was the order given by the sovereign of the Kingdom of Sicily Giustizieri to seize property owned by the Templars in contrast to the current legislation of the dead hand. The excommunication was repeated the following year stating reasons, not only for the non-departure for the crusade, but for the spoliation of the assets of the Templars Hospital and the Kingdom of Sicily. The departure for the Holy Land and the bloodless recovery of Jerusalem did not favor a return to peaceful relations between Frederick II and the Order of the Templars, indeed soured further since, apparently, the Templars hindered diplomatic initiatives undertaken by the Emperor for the recovery without hostility of Jerusalem, even to the killing of the sovereign groped on the banks of the Jordan.
In 1229 Frederick II excludes Militia Templi by every treaty and abandoned i cavalieri rossocrociati della Siria meridionale agli attacchi musulmani.
One issue is certain: in 1240, when it seems that they began the construction of Castel del Monte, the relationship between Frederick II and the Templars were not already bad and it is possible that the Swiss national team riders have, in any way, helped in the creation of the hated king Swabian castle.
